Call for unions to elect their representatives to the Council of the Minimum Wage Commission is published
On May 15, 2023, the Call for duly registered worker unions and employers, as well as independent employers, to elect on June 25, 2023, those who will represent them before the Council of Representatives of the National Minimum Wage Commission, for the period 2023-2027 (the Call), was published in the Federal Official Gazette.
The Council of Representatives of the National Minimum Wage Commission is made up of an equal number, not less than 5 nor more than 15, of regular and alternate representatives of unionized personnel and employers, who are appointed every 4 years. In accordance with the Call, the representatives that are elected shall serve in office from July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2027.
The General Directorate of Registration of Associations shall make available, on the Internet portal of the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare, a guide to the process of electing the representatives of workers and employers before the Council.
Derived from the foregoing, duly registered worker unions and employers have a reasonable term to take advantage of the Call and be able to nominate those who will represent them for the next 4 years before the National Minimum Wage Commission.
