Article 1 of the General Law on Women’s Access to a Life Free of Violence (the General Law) establishes that shall be coordination between the Federation, the states and the municipalities. The foregoing, with the purpose of preventing, punishing and eradicating violence against women, as well as to guarantee democracy and integral and sustainable development, in order to strengthen the sovereignty and the democratic regime established in the Constitution.

On June 1, 2009, the Federal Official Gazette (DOF) published the Resolution that creates the National Commission to Prevent and Eradicate Violence against Women as a decentralized administrative body of the Ministry of the Interior (the Commission). The purpose of the Commission, among others, is to exercise the powers that the General Law confers on the Ministry of the Interior, in matters of prevention, care, punishment and eradication of violence against women in Mexico.

On December 30, 2021, the Guidelines for obtaining and applying resources in the Support Actions for the Declarations of Alert of Gender Violence against women in States and municipalities, corresponding to Fiscal Year 2022 (the Guidelines), were published on the Commission’s website.

Therefore, the Guidelines are published for consultation on the following website: https://www.gob.mx/conavim/documentos/lineamientos-para-la-obtencion-y-aplicacion-de-recursos-destinados-a-las-acciones-de-coadyuvancia. In order to give greater dissemination to the Guidelines, on April 22, 2022, a notice was published in the DOF informing of their publication on the Commission’s website.
