Through communication No. 001/2022 dated January 12, 2022, the Ministry of Labor and Social Security (STPS) reported that, according to current labor legislation, it is illegal to oblige employees to pay for its COVID-19 tests, as a requirement to enter the work centers. In addition, the STPS asserted that in no case should the cost of such test be transferred to the employees.

Finally, the STPS took the opportunity to remind employees how important it is not to go to work centers or social gatherings, if symptoms compatible with the COVID-19 virus are present, in order to avoid generating a potential risk of contagion for others persons.
