Begining of the second stage of the Labor Reform

On September 21, 2021, the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare, issued bulletin number 091/2021 informing that, in an extraordinary session of the members of the Coordination Council for the Implementation of the Labor Reform, it was unanimously agreed on the Begining of the second stage of the Labor Reform for November 3, 2021.

The date was defined by consensus of the members of the Council, through dialogue with the local and federal authorities of the 13 states where the new labor model will be implemented this year. Being Aguascalientes, Baja California, Colima, Guanajuato, Morelos, Oaxaca, Puebla, Querétaro, Quintana Roo, Tlaxcala, Veracruz and Hidalgo, the states in which it will be implemented at the local level, and Baja California Sur and Guerrero, those in which the implementation will be take place at the federal level.

Likewise, the authorities of the states were exhorted to carry out the necessary actions, within the scope of their competences, so that, through their local congresses, they make the declaration for the beginning of the functions of their Labor Courts and Local Conciliation Centers.

Finally, it was announced that the Federal Center for Labor Conciliation and Registration, will soon submit, to its Governing Board, an agreement to establish November 3, 2021, as the start date of the registration function of unions and collective labor contract nationwide.
