On December 3, 2024, the increase in minimum wages of 12% for the year 2025 was announced by the employer and worker sectors of the National Commission of Minimum Wages (CONASAMI). This information has already been confirmed by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security.

Derived from the above, the minimum wages that will be effective as of January 1, 2025, were the following amounts:

Northern Border Free Zone: goes from $374.89 to $419.87 pesos per day.

General minimum for the other states of the republic: goes from $248.93 pesos per day to $278.80 pesos per day.

As we know, in recent years the minimum wage has not been taken as an indicator for the review of collective bargaining contracts. However, this percentage of 12% will put pressure at the reviews, both salary and contractual. It is worth mentioning that this increase has not yet been published in the Official Gazette of the Federation, but such publication is expected soon.
