On December 12, 2023, the Resolution that amended articles 513, 514 and 515 of the Federal Labor Law (LFT) (the Resolution), was published in the Federal Official Gazette (DOF).

With the Resolution shall have to be updated (i) the tables of occupational diseases, for the assessment of permanent disabilities derived from work risks; and (ii) the catalog of work-related illness assessment certificates.

The Resolution came into effect on the day following its publication in the DOF. The Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare has a period of 45 business days from the date in which the Resolution came into effect to publish in the DOF the catalog of certificates for the assessment of work-related illnesses.

It is very important to review the table of occupational diseases, since new diseases were added and now the table stands at 194, unlike the previous table which was 161, in addition to the catalog of valuation certificates being expanded.
