On September 9, 2022, the Pension and Retirement Savings Administrative Collaboration Agreement number CC021/2022 (the Agreement) was executed between the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) and the Savings System for Retirement National Commission (CONSAR).

The objective of the Agreement is that the information flow transparently between both institutions, thereby guaranteeing that employees, at the end of their working life, can carry out the corresponding pension procedures more quickly and expeditiously. The Agreement was executed by the directors of both institutions, Zoé Robledo executed it on behalf of the IMSS and Iván Pliego executed it on the CONSAR side.

On the other hand, the Agreement also has the purpose of receiving relevant information on active and insured employers under the Compulsory Regime, pensions granted and denied issued for supervision, as well as receiving information from female employees who have requested maternity leave, in order to carry out studies and research on the benefit of this sector of the population.

Likewise, through the Agreement, information will be provided on the contributions to the Retirement, Unemployment at Advanced Age and Old Age Sub-accounts, as well as the Housing Sub-account, and information on the database of the private pension plans registered with the CONSAR, with which it will be possible to develop monitoring and control functions.

Finally, the director of the IMSS pointed out that, in this year of the 419,000 pensioners, 41,000 would not have achieved their pension without the reform of the Pension System.
